The Surveillance of Eye Anomalies (SEA-UK) is a national project in the UK collecting epidemiological data on children with congenital eye malformations. The study, which commenced in October 2006, aims to provide reliable estimates of the incidence of these conditions; to describe associated demographic factors and to investigate underlying causes. A national special interest group of experts with an interest in these conditions has been set up as part of the project.
